EP/26

Announcing EP/26 — a five-track acoustic offering from Miranda Easten.

Recorded in its purest form, this collection leans into simplicity and soul, where lyrics and notes breathe. Including brand new, unreleased songs, EP/26 captures fleeting moments, soft confessions, and honesty.

Miranda Easten is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and author whose work sits at the intersection of music, storytelling, and design-led culture.

Her current chapter marks a striking shift. Moving beyond her country roots, Miranda is stepping into a more expansive, sonic tinged world. Her forthcoming third album signals a bold evolution in sound, driven by atmosphere, momentum, and a refined sense of identity.

Alongside her recorded work, Miranda has recently appeared in select live collaborations — including performances with Sweet Mix Kids — using these moments as an extension of her evolving sound and creative direction. She also performs occasional limited-edition DJ sets: rare, carefully curated appearances.

Beyond the stage, her work continues to move across creative spaces; she recently wrote “Space Cowboy”, the theme song for Spicy Boys’ new hot sauce, with an accompanying music video set for release.

Miranda first emerged with her debut album Behind Unbroken Strings (2021), recorded at Neil Finn’s Roundhead Studios in Auckland with world-renowned producer Greg Haver (Kimbra, Melanie C, Manic Street Preachers). The release established her as a serious recording artist, with singles including “Cowboy Lullaby” and “Country Boy” charting on the Official Australian Top 40 Country Chart and receiving broadcast rotation across CMT, MTV, Nashville TV, and Country Music Network.

She is also recognised for a run of high-profile music videos, including collaborations with internationally respected director Shae Sterling. Her work has screened widely across television and digital platforms, helping build a strong international audience. Notably, “View From Here” was voted Top Video on America’s Taste of Country for multiple weeks.

Her sophomore album Concrete & Honey debuted at #6 on the Official New Zealand Albums Chart and marked a significant artistic and commercial step forward. Recorded across New Zealand and at the iconic Rockfield Studios in Wales — where artists such as Queen, Oasis, and Coldplay have created landmark records — the album broadened her audience and reinforced her reputation for emotionally precise, carefully crafted songwriting.

Across her career, Miranda has collaborated with a wide range of respected artists and musicians, including Greg Johnson and Ashes & Arrows, earning a reputation for instinctive, detail-driven creativity. A seasoned live performer, she has appeared at major festivals and high-profile events.

Beyond music, Miranda is a former radio host of The Country Workday on Southern Cross Country and the author of multiple publications. Her work across disciplines reflects a consistent focus on tone, aesthetic, and narrative — shaping a body of work that feels both cohesive and continually evolving.
